Three Helpful Security Investigation Tools

1. Anonymity as it relates to website ownership can be a problem. Who owns that website on which defamatory information about you appears, or your copyrighted material is posted without your permission?  Find out who owns a website with Whois.sc:
http://www.whois.sc/

2. Have you ever received anonymous, threatening e-mails, and you were able to identify the IP address of the sender? Find out the physical address (or at least city) associated with someone’s IP address with Geoiptool:
http://www.geoiptool.com/

3. Would you like to know more about someone before doing business with them? Snitch.name gathers information from social networks and a limited amount of data from public record searches:
http://www.snitch.name/

In addition to the above tips, reduce your risk by identifying potential problem areas before it’s too late through character assessment, including handwriting analysis.
