Question: Can you determine a person’s history from his handwriting?
Answer: You can’t determine a person’s history from his handwriting. Handwriting analysis outlines personality strengths and challenges at the time of writing.
However, how often have you encountered an old friend that you haven’t seen for years and her personality has completely changed? Probably never, right?
By personality, I’m referring to the core character abilities and weaknesses. Everyone’s personality is unique, comprised of various aptitudes and flaws. Nobody is perfect.
A person’s overall nature tends to remain the same, no matter how many times she reinvents herself. Modifying many ingrained fears and defenses such as secretiveness, evasiveness, defiance, vanity, insincerity, and self-deception tends to be unfeasible.
Other things handwriting analysis can’t determine: gender, sexual orientation, marital status, age, race, height, or weight. Consistent correlations between gender (or any of the other aforementioned things) and handwriting analysis haven’t been identified in any credible study.
As a business owner, handwriting analysis helps you hire the right person for the job and avoid bad hires. It also helps you minimize the risk in your personal life. An expert graphologist confirming your view, for example, that a particular person may struggle with domineering behavior could save you an enormous amount of time and money.
Handwriting does not reveal everything about a person, but it does reveal true motivations, dishonesty, quite a lot about sex and relationships, leadership ability, amount of discretion and dependability, level of intelligence, menacing subconscious personality defenses, and a lot more.
You can’t determine a person’s past from her handwriting. Handwriting analysis doesn’t outline past behavior or previous job performance. However, it’s one of the most accurate, objective, and non-discriminatory forms of personality analysis to give you the information you need now for a better future.
