Look Out: Solar Eclipse 5-9-2013, Lunar Eclipse and Supermoon 5-24-2013

Monday, May 6th, 2013

It’s not very common to have three eclipses within a month, yet that’s what’s happening at this time with a lunar eclipse 4-25-2013, a solar eclipse 5-9-2013, and another lunar eclipse 5-24-2013.

Solar eclipse/New Moon is exact by degree 5-9-2013 at 5:28 p.m. PDT, 19 degrees 31 minutes Taurus.

Lunar eclipse/Full Moon (also a Supermoon) is exact by degree 5-24-2013 at 9:25 p.m. PDT, 04 degrees 08 minutes Sagittarius.

The symbolism of eclipses, from a mundane, everyday standpoint, is largely negative. Be a little more careful with any important dealings (e.g., costly purchases, investments, legal contracts, etc.) around the time of eclipses–two to three weeks leading up to an eclipse, and especially the few days before and after.

Although it’s impossible to structure your busy life around celestial phenomenon, it pays to take note of the approximate time and date of key ideas, introductions, and beginnings. Those moments in time, as delineated in the comprehensive astrology and numerology charts, hold the key to the degree of preordained success or failure.

As you can see in this bar graph, the next eclipses are in October and November of this year.

Supermoon and Beware, Two Eclipses, November 2012

Monday, November 5th, 2012

I recommend that you be a little more conscious of your conduct and the conditions that arise in your life leading up to and around the dates November 13th and 28th, 2012.

Don’t worry, you’re not in grave danger, but the risk of atypical situations, such as rash behavior resulting in weighty consequences is increased due to a Supermoon and two eclipses.

As with all astrology, these cosmic events don’t influence your life or make things happen, though they are emblematic of distinct themes.

Please see this blog post for information about Supermoons and eclipses.

Details about this Supermoon: Exact by degree, 11-13-2012 2:08 p.m. PST, 21 degrees 56 minutes Scorpio. This Supermoon occurs at the time of a solar eclipse/New Moon. Along with the Moon being in the sign of Scorpio, a disadvantaged Moon (in “detriment”), at least by sign, it is worth being a little more vigilant than usual on this date and the days leading up to it.

Solar and lunar eclipses November 2012 details:

  1. Solar eclipse/New Moon exact by degree 11-13-2012 2:08 p.m. PST, 21 degrees 56 minutes Scorpio
  2. Lunar eclipse/Full Moon exact by degree 11-28-2012 6:46 a.m. PST, 06 degrees 46 minutes Gemini.

How to Witness Firsthand the Symbolism of Eclipses

Go to places you frequent (e.g., gyms, bars, shopping malls, beaches, parks, arenas/sporting events, etc.) and pay attention to the group-think and behavior compared to non-eclipse times. Do this over the course of 20+ years and you will notice some distinct differences.

In the linked blog post above, I say, “The two to three weeks leading up to an eclipse, and particularly the few days before and after, characteristically include a strange, skewed, overblown concentration of energy fostering scattered focus and illogical behavior, including emotional flare-ups (more so during lunar eclipses).

In addition, individual and collective fear spikes, making existing crises worse. An example of this is the European debt crisis dominating the headlines May through early June 2012.

Every eclipse doesn’t signify dramatic geopolitical events, natural disasters, short-term panic in financial markets, chaos in the parliament of select countries, the demise of a king, president, or prime minister, or a substantial increase in botched surgeries. However, the theme of death and rebirth is underscored, and though it’s not easy to quantify exactly, an increase in erratic behavior, such as public drunkenness and amplified discord is common.

An aside, doing this type of work does not mean you have access to every possible fated circumstance, any more than you could watch 10,000 TV channels concurrently. It takes time to review the unique comprehensive charts of each event, entity, or person, and I give priority to those I’m paid for.

Life becomes so much more enjoyable when you’re able to make the most of rewarding circumstances and assuage the challenges in your life. Follow my advice and it will absolutely help you to come out on top.

Supermoon and Beware, Two Eclipses, May-June 2012

Tuesday, May 1st, 2012

Overview: Be a little more mindful of your actions and pay attention to the circumstances that develop in your life leading up to and around the dates May 20th and June 4th 2012.

Universal cycles (eclipses, retrogrades, cycles of the Moon, et al.), by themselves, aren’t exceedingly potent and the energy must be corroborated to have meaningful symbolic impact.

Any single eclipse, for instance, may represent (with supporting factors) major life circumstances for one person, and for another person it may have little to no significance. Supplementary patterns in your natal and timing comprehensive charts must be identified; the exclusive symbolism of these configurations related to your life’s happenings prevails over universal cycles.

Still, it’s a good idea to take note of such cosmic events, and how they associate with your natal and timing charts. In doing so, you’re able to witness the cyclical nature of life, and even avoid some of life’s difficulties.

The legitimacy of this advice is realized through informally observing the actions and life circumstances of others without telling them you are doing it, in conjunction with paying attention to intermittent cosmic events (or better yet, their personal cyclical timing charts), like the ones mentioned in this article. In this way, “self-fulfilling prophesy” isn’t applicable.

Supermoons (or “Lunar Perigee”) aren’t directly related to eclipses; it occurs when the Moon’s orbit is closest to the Earth. It’s usually is a non event, but this particular Supermoon/Full Moon in the sign of Scorpio represents a disadvantaged, distorted Moon energy (Moon is in detriment, “Fall” in the sign of Scorpio, opposite of exalted Moon in Taurus), so I recommend paying a little more attention to it.

On the evening of May 5th, 2012 (PDT) the Full Moon may appear larger than normal due to its orbit being closer to Earth than usual. Details about this Full Moon/Supermoon: Exact by degree, 5-5-2012 8:35 p.m. PDT, 16 degrees 01 minutes Scorpio.

Again, such universal events as eclipses don’t have the same exact significance for everyone, but there exist some consistencies to watch for.

This blog post and this blog post address the phenomenon of solar and lunar eclipses.

Solar and lunar eclipses May 2012–June 2012 details:

1. Solar eclipse/New Moon exact by degree 5-20-2012 4:47 p.m. PDT 00 degrees 20 minutes Gemini.

2. Lunar eclipse/Full Moon exact by degree 6-4-2012 4:11 a.m. PDT 14 degrees 13 minutes Sagittarius.

Three things to keep in mind about eclipses:

1. The two to three weeks leading up to an eclipse, and particularly the few days before and after, characteristically include a strange, skewed, overblown concentration of energy fostering scattered focus and illogical behavior, including emotional flare-ups (more so during lunar eclipses).

2. Discernment is obscured and confusion abounds. Be vigilant with any legal matters such as contracts, or high-risk undertakings.

3. Keep your guard up for the unexpected.

Increasing your attentiveness of such cosmic events and what they mean to you allows you to capitalize on the rewarding occurrences in your life and minimize your overall risk.

Please see this blog post for more information about lunar eclipses:

Three Things to Keep in Mind About Eclipses

1. For as long as two weeks (possibly longer) before an eclipse, but more commonly several days leading up to the eclipse and for a few days after, there exists a strangely amplified electric intensity, characteristic of scattered focus and emotional fare-ups. This especially holds true during lunar eclipses.

2. Unexpected happenings are the norm during eclipses.

3. During eclipses, your perception and sense of discernment is distorted. Be very wary of entirely new ideas (e.g., investment possibilities, etc.) during this time, and be very cautious of any legal agreements and contracts originated and, or solidified under this energy.

Eclipses, like transits, retrogrades, and other, lesser indicators, are sporadic factors. In a universal significance and related to your unique natal configurations, sometimes the associated energy is active, and most of the time it’s not. Any single eclipse may symbolize (along with corroborating factors, never by itself) momentous life events for one person, and for the next it may have almost zero relevance.

Although eclipses are minor indicators, they are easy to track in a universal sense and it’s wise to acknowledge the representative influence. Doing so will allow you to witness the cyclical nature of life and reduce your exposure to risk.

New Moon-Solar Eclipse 1-4-2010: 5 Tips

Monday, January 3rd, 2011

January 4, 2011 at 1:02 a.m. PST a New Moon and solar eclipse occurs at 13 degrees 38 minutes Capricorn.

At the time listed above, the height of the New Moon-solar eclipse universal energy, the Moon and the Sun are exactly conjunct (at same degree and minute).

By sign, the New Moon and solar eclipse energy began when the Moon entered the sign of Capricorn, 1-2-2011 at 11:38 p.m. PST. The Moon is in the sign of Capricorn until 1-5-2011 8:07 a.m. PST.

Also, the energy symbolizing eclipses is present up to a couple weeks prior to and a few days after the exact conjunction (solar) or opposition (lunar).

What does this eclipse signify for you? Maybe a little something, but not much in and of itself.

Eclipses, like transits, retrogrades, progressions, etc., are intermittent astrological factors. Sometimes they are transpiring, and most other times they are not. They are only useful to the astrologer to help refine an existing, thorough appraisal based on more comprehensive, unremitting methods.

Eclipses and other minor universal factors also serve as reminders to look more closely at a particular area of a subject’s life through more complex charting methods.

For example, if this eclipse occurs very close to your 10th house cusp, which is an angle (1st, 4th, 7th, 10th cusps) and one of the more potent parts of real-estate of the basic natal chart, you’ll want to look more closely at 10th house matters (career, job, status, public affairs such as honor or scandal, et al.). It’s a signal to examine any related patterns in the comprehensive charts.

Another benefit of tracking universal indicators such as these is that you’re able to more closely identify with the cycles of time, thus possibly even get more out of life while reducing your exposure to risk.

5 tips regarding eclipses:

1.      Solar and lunar eclipses almost always occur within a couple weeks of each other.

2.      Lunar eclipses are always during a Full Moon and solar eclipses are always during a New Moon.

3.      Focusing exclusively on eclipses or any other minor astrological factor while avoiding assessing the more important indicators in a person’s comprehensive charts (and wondering why nothing momentous transpired during the eclipse) is like putting all your focus on the earmuffs you’re wearing, for example, while blissfully walking around nude outside in the cold and wondering why you’re freezing. But they are pretty earmuffs, aren’t they?

4.      By and large, lunar eclipses represent culminations, and solar eclipses represent new beginnings, if supported by other factors. The closer in degree an eclipse is to any particular heavenly body, house cusp, etc., the more important it is (as a supporting consideration).

5.      Pay closer attention to any important dealings (speculations, investments, etc.) during eclipse energy, as a greater amount of overall misperception is common.
