Question:

How can you say that astrology “influences” anything? Jupiter’s distance from Earth, for instance, is over 500 million miles. How does Jupiter influence anything?

Answer:

While you may hear astrologers say things like “the influence of a planet,” it’s a misleading thing to say.

Alternatively, it’s accurate to say the patterns involving heavenly bodies symbolize life circumstances and human nature.

Although the Moon influences the tides, my belief is that all associated phenomena (e.g., lunar eclipses, Moon Void of Course, Full Moon, Moon in detriment, etc.) and other celestial phenomena don’t make anything happen, but they do absolutely correspond to real life events, based on how those universal events show up in your comprehensive charts.

Question:

How can you say astrology is real science? I don’t believe it. Isn’t it a pseudo-science?

Answer:

Again, I don’t believe in the astrology you’ve been exposed to either. As a science, astrology peaked in the Middle Ages. Authentic astrology isn’t pseudo-science.

Rather than only one or a handful of factors applying to any given person, such as “Leo” (Sun sign) and a corresponding “horoscope” that reads like a fortune cookie, real astrology includes hundreds of indicators derived from the full date of birth, location, and exact time that form patterns. Pattern recognition, symbolizing personality and life events, is the basis of this empirically based science.

For example, even though a person may have only a modest net worth at the moment, having 93% of all related indicators favoring upcoming exceptionally rewarding financial conditions, the subject will undoubtedly see an upswing in funds.

Accuracy in prediction and personality analysis relies on a solid system of checks and balances. My proprietary systems include handwriting analysis, and comprehensive astrology and numerology (ancient and modern forms of both).

The Age of Reason in the 1600s AD began astrology’s serious state of decline due largely to a scientific superiority complex by the self-appointed science authorities. A biased redefinition of science prevailed through the pretense of “logic” and astrology (and numerology, known as “number mysticism”) were downgraded and tossed on the pseudo-science heap.

The Age of Reason activists claimed astrology could not possibly be a science because it didn’t hold up under their scientific method, which entails logically compiling observable, measurable data.

That verdict is baseless because astrology (the astrology from that time) is a science  by definition: results are empirically, regularly derived from the same sets of circumstances.

Merriam-Webster dictionary defines science as “A knowledge or a system of knowledge covering general truths or the operation of general laws especially as obtained and tested through scientific method.” Also, it defines scientific method as “Principles and procedures for the systematic pursuit of knowledge involving the recognition and formulation of a problem, the collection of data through observation and experiment, and the formulation and testing of hypotheses.”

Authentic astrology is empirically based—“…objective collection of data through observation and experiment and the formulation and testing of hypotheses.” It is truly a science.

An aside, scientific method, by modern standards, doesn’t automatically make a notion valid, no matter how many peer reviews. Peer review has proven to be futile time and time again.

Considering the enormous amount of skepticism regarding astrology, surely there are studies that prove it invalid?

Answer:

Incredibly, there aren’t any. All skepticism seems to be directed toward trivial astrology, and I agree with that criticism.

I’d be interested in finding out about the empirical research of the skeptics. I suspect they simply dismiss the science of astrology after a quick Internet search without any serious evaluation on their part at all.

It always amazes me when people draw conclusions based on the limits of their understanding.

You can’t prove a theory valid, you can only invalidate it.

My credentials are the result of objective, empirically based research involving my work (clients, public figures, people of all walks of life, real-world concerns, etc.) and I state my findings about astrology and numerology as theories. Astrologers have accepted the concept of precession–the Aries point moving slightly backwards each year–for approximately 2140 years, since Hipparchus discovered the precession of the equinoxes.

This discrepancy is reflected in the Sidereal zodiac, but not the Tropical zodiac, which is, by far, the dominant zodiac used in Western astrology.

Five very talented entrepreneurs with similar successful backgrounds, all about the same age and intelligence level, embark separately on similar investment projects. Two succeed wildly, two lose money, and one fails miserably. Why, because of luck? My view is that personal fate is disguised as luck, no matter how diligent, adaptable, and resourceful you are.

2. The level of unique, innate strife or harmony between you and another person. Your compatibility with any given person is measurable, and that includes the level of rewarding or challenging energy, professionally or personally.

One thing you can control:

How you react, how much compassion and unconditional love you generate, which can go a long way in enhancing your destiny. You are in control of how you respond, yet your level of resourcefulness (making the most of every situation) is limited to the innate quantity you possess–some people have much more than others.

This doesn’t leave you helpless, but rather it’s a dose of reality so you are that much closer to accepting that which you can’t change in your life, thus making your life more enjoyable and meaningful.

Every action and thought has personal consequences that shape your future karma, much of it in future lives. In that sense, your level of control is profound.

But you must also acknowledge that your control over your current fate is very limited in this specific lifetime and that there will always be parts of your life that you can’t manipulate.

Universal cycles (eclipses, retrogrades, cycles of the Moon, et al.), by themselves, aren’t exceedingly potent and the energy must be corroborated to have meaningful symbolic impact.

Any single eclipse, for instance, may represent (with supporting factors) major life circumstances for one person, and for another person it may have little to no significance. Supplementary patterns in your natal and timing comprehensive charts must be identified; the exclusive symbolism of these configurations related to your life’s happenings prevails over universal cycles.

Still, it’s a good idea to take note of such cosmic events, and how they associate with your natal and timing charts. In doing so, you’re able to witness the cyclical nature of life, and even avoid some of life’s difficulties.

Supermoons (or “Lunar Perigee”) aren’t directly related to eclipses; it occurs when the Moon’s orbit is closest to the Earth. There exist many factors that comprise human intelligence. Embracing the illusion that you can spend a few hours or so (or even months) with someone and gain an understanding of their true personality—all the masked problem traits—is one of the biggest threats to your business and personal related risk.

There are two problems with these self-tests:

1. Actual personality and compatibility can’t be determined because self-tests are subjective and lacking in objectivity. A person filling out a self-report test invariably figures out the intent of the questions and answers how he or she believes they should answer to yield the most appropriate results.
2. Besides not being able to accurately assess select personality areas, self-tests don’t assess key variables of real-life interaction, such as personality red-flag factors including complex fears and defenses.

Relying on dating site self-tests to screen potential romantic partners, for example, even those that are touted to include sophisticated “matching algorithms,” is a losing proposition.

Associate Professor of Social Psychology at Northwestern University Eli Finkel, in an article in the journal of the Association for Psychological Science says, “To date, there is no compelling evidence that any online dating matching algorithm actually works…our report concludes that it is unlikely that their algorithms can work, even in principle, given the limitations of the sorts of matching procedures that these sites use.”  More information here:

Answer:
Empirical observation over many centuries resulted in the most fitting rulers. It’s best to avoid seeing an issue between a masculine planet and feminine sign–they don’t have to match to be ruler/ruled—and I recommend avoiding over-simplifying the matter of sex.

I wouldn’t say Scorpio rules sex exclusively, at all. Sex related to astrology is a complex issue. It’s not one sign, it’s not one house, and it’s not one planet. There are dozens of variables.

Also, sex is not exclusively the domain of the feminine. Be careful to avoid embracing warped modern astrological concepts.

As to Mars not being “a reflective energy” and Scorpio being what you imply, Mars doesn’t have to be “reflective” to rule Scorpio, to be blunt, and whether or not Mars represents acting on impulse depends on its health and many other factors. I wouldn’t say the sign of Scorpio automatically can be linked to determination and introspection either.

Again, I recommend avoiding modern astrological theory, for the most part. It will only mislead you. Psychological astrology is largely a distorted version of authentic astrology–too creative in a detrimental way, like bratty, immature children playing a game, making up the rules to suit a self-serving agenda.

Mars is masculine, nocturnal, and overall a problematic force, but it can be made a very positive force through excellent health and placement. The sign of Scorpio is a feminine sign, as in energy coming to it, not moving outwardly from it, like with masculine signs. Also, please don’t confuse “feminine” (related to astrology) with beauty and grace.

Mars is also dignified in the sign of Aries, and it is exalted in the sign of Capricorn. I recommend studying the planets first, then how they function in the various signs.

It’s unclear which sites you are speaking of, but it should be noted that almost all of the “astrology” on-line and in mainstream publications is a trivialized, meaningless form of the authentic science.

Many people tell me that they “Don’t believe in astrology.” Well, I don’t believe in the astrology they’ve been exposed to either.

The idea that people having the Sun sign Gemini are more promiscuous than those with other Sun signs is absolutely false.

Promiscuity is symbolized in the comprehensive astrology and numerology charts by numerous indicators, the Sun sign hardly being one of them. I look for patterns comprised of various indicators in my systems of analysis that have proven time and time again to symbolize a pronounced affinity for sex.

Also, my opinion is that handwriting analysis more effectively discerns details of human sexuality since it acutely targets the subconscious mind, the real personality.

First, it’s a common occurrence when someone tells me they’ve regularly had more challenges than usual with a particular Sun sign.

It could appear to be a Libra Sun matter, but may not be. It could be something else that all of those people have in common.

I’d have to know how many people of all those you’ve had problems with have natal Sun in Libra. Could it be selective attention or a self-fulfilling prophesy on your part? Let’s say it’s not, and you really have had more problems with those who have a Libra Sun.

Since I don’t have the birth data of those people, here are some general possibilities:

1. Libra energy in your natal charts is very weak and under-represented; the sign of Libra is locked in a cadent house, the 9th.
2. Your natal Mars is very potent (the sign of Libra has a problem with Mars, you could say–Mars in Libra is a debilitated Mars). In fact, it’s the most potent heavenly body in your comprehensive charts, and not just because it rules your 1st, 10th, and 11th.
3. You have twice as much fixed energy as cardinal or mutable. Libra is a cardinal sign. Cardinal energy and fixed energy generally don’t harmonize.
4. Those specific people may have a heavy emphasis in their comprehensive charts on the sign of Libra and, or they may have a problem with the planet Mars.
5. When have the problems occurred? It could be more of an issue related to your timing rather than your natal configurations.

Rather than completely avoiding people who have a Libra Sun sign, it may be better to get to know them a little first, then find out their birth data.
