The concept that “you are in complete control of your destiny” is, in one way, true yet, in another, completely false.
Five very talented entrepreneurs with similar successful backgrounds, all about the same age and intelligence level, embark separately on similar investment projects. Two succeed wildly, two lose money, and one fails miserably. Why, because of luck? My view is that personal fate is disguised as luck, no matter how diligent, adaptable, and resourceful you are.
I’m not talking about a situation where someone prepares so well, such as a farmer taking the time to learn how to more efficiently run his operation, that he boosts his yield commensurately over the previous years.
I’m talking about situations and conditions beyond your control, that conventional thinking hastily labels “luck.”
While it’s accurate to say that you have power over how you decide to deal with the circumstances and events in your life that arise, to believe you can always shape-shift the results into exactly the reality your ego-self demands, like you’re some sort of superhero, is delusional.
Two things you can’t control:
1. The undercurrent of your overall personal karma that symbolically shapes everything in your life and the resulting occurrences. This includes your collective timing, relative to specific areas of your life (e.g., finances, career, love life, etc.).
2. The level of unique, innate strife or harmony between you and another person. Your compatibility with any given person is measurable, and that includes the level of rewarding or challenging energy, professionally or personally.
One thing you can control:
How you react, how much compassion and unconditional love you generate, which can go a long way in enhancing your destiny. You are in control of how you respond, yet your level of resourcefulness (making the most of every situation) is limited to the innate quantity you possess–some people have much more than others.
This doesn’t leave you helpless, but rather it’s a dose of reality so you are that much closer to accepting that which you can’t change in your life, thus making your life more enjoyable and meaningful.
Every action and thought has personal consequences that shape your future karma, much of it in future lives. In that sense, your level of control is profound.
But you must also acknowledge that your control over your current fate is very limited in this specific lifetime and that there will always be parts of your life that you can’t manipulate.
The collective current of your behavior (i.e., “karma”) from previous lifetimes and current life shapes your present like an unyielding force-field and there’s nothing you can do about it besides constructive and ingenious reaction.
Three of the five entrepreneurs mentioned above, had they sought and heeded my advice, would have realized that their personal conditions were brutally perilous at that time, calling for great caution, and they would have avoided financial loss.
Comprehensive astrology and numerology successfully outline personal fate, the overall inclinations in your life, and handwriting analysis uncovers hidden personality features, allowing you to dramatically reduce your risk.

You must thoroughly understand your competition to triumph.
Everyone has their own unique strengths and weaknesses, and many of the most dominant ones can’t be exposed by conventional methods.
Alternatively, comprehensive astrology and numerology allow you to expose limitations and vulnerabilities, along with many other personal dynamics, such as when a person will appear to be invincible and untouchable.
Think of how much time and money you could save if you knew the approximate times when you would most definitely lose to your adversary.
Also, think of the incredible advantage you would have if you knew when your opponent is most ineffectual.
Please note: Hazardous situations such as a person’s livelihood being in jeopardy, or having to deal with a nasty situation may demand the type of assessment featured in this article. Furthermore, under certain circumstances, your competition my resort to clandestine methods in an attempt to gain an edge. It’s under these conditions that you’re forced to take additional steps to level the playing field. The approach outlined here allows you to do this.
Below I list several confidential areas of interest, discernible through comprehensive astrology and numerology in a Competitive Advantage Assessment, related to knowing your competition in remarkably uncommon ways.
1. Periods of strength, such as when the person is on top of their game–seemingly unconquerable (e.g., in negotiations, deal-making, etc.), most likely to receive recognition, or most likely to win a lawsuit and, or come out on top regarding any legal action.
2. Periods of weakness, such as when the person is most vulnerable, likely to talk too much and spill the beans, likely to encounter dangerous business opportunities, likely to be at risk for financial loss, likely to encounter people who are ultimately against their highest good, most likely to feel like they’ve been betrayed, likely to be humbled, under very poor timing to launch a new endeavor, at risk for ill-fated speculation, or likely to feel the most isolated and fearful.
3. Periods of transition, such as when the person is at a peak point in their career, likely to have to start over, or feeling like things are stagnant.
In conjunction with handwriting analysis ( http://scottpetullo.com/blog/2011/07/5-possible-ways-to-understand-and-outmaneuver-your-enemy/ ), a Competitive Advantage Assessment involving the above-mentioned areas of focus (and much more) can greatly help you reduce your risk.

Results of empirical observation involving handwriting analysis and comprehensive astrology and numerology over a span of more than two decades indicate to me that mishaps and other challenges in life aren’t random.
The root of a problem, such as an accident, is in the past, whether that past is in this life or a previous one.
Through personal fate, negative self-subconscious programming (e.g., a person regularly exclaiming how “unlucky,” “clumsy,” or “broke” they are), or other ways such as a self-castigation complex, people sometimes unknowingly do themselves in.
It’s unfortunate, and regularly just a matter of unavoidable, immutable personal fate, but you do have the option to limit your exposure to risk, accidents, and life’s disasters.
3 ways to safeguard yourself from mishaps are listed below:
- Watch your thinking. Do you ever find yourself in a semi-daydream state imagining a calamity such as a car wreck or sports accident, or even just a minor physical ailment? Whenever you find yourself going down that mental path, reverse the image and envision yourself as safe and sound and avoiding danger; doing so leaves a positive imprint on your subconscious mind, reducing your risk. Another, more obvious way to limit life’s hazards is to strive to be centered. Meditation helps with this.
- Pay attention to the character of those in your life who you don’t yet know very well. Concerned about misfortune in conjunction with a potential business partner, for example? You should be, as you can’t control his or her behavior, but you can prepare yourself and limit your risk by identifying red flags through handwriting analysis and comprehensive astrology and numerology.
- Although it may sound excessively esoteric, it’s wise to learn about your unique personal fate through comprehensive astrology and numerology because it can absolutely prepare you to make the most of your life and handle life’s challenges more effectively, limiting the disadvantages. Finances, love life, family, career, and more—all significant areas of life include unique opportunities and risks and the more you know yourself as related to predestined karma and unalterable personal adversity, the better off you’ll be.
While you can’t avoid circumstances and events that are beyond your control, you can greatly reduce your risk by following the above advice.

Question:
Is it possible to predict or identify the sexual orientation of a person using Astrology? By seeing a horoscope of a person and not the actual person, can you correctly tell that whether person is gay or straight? I know that many reputed astrologers have honestly agreed that its not possible to predict or identify the sexual orientation of a person using Astrology, I am interested.
Answer:
My findings show that it’s not easy at all to discern sexual orientation through astrology alone.
Also, please note that the “horoscope” you speak of is typically a one page, basic natal chart. It’s important to realize that comprehensive astrology involves multiple charts, far more than just the basic chart.
I’ve found that comprehensive numerology does allow for a better understanding of a person’s sexual orientation. On many, many occasions after reviewing a person’s comprehensive charts it’s occurred to me, for example, “This person is more toward the bi or gay side of the sexual orientation spectrum,” and that has turned out to be true.
However, it’s not my or any other professional’s business to go nosing around in someone’s charts for such information if they didn’t specifically ask about the issue.
In my opinion, comprehensive numerology (my charting systems) displays sexual orientation to some extent, certainly more clearly than astrology, but it’s more often than not challenging to accurately assess if a person is gay or straight. Although in extreme cases, it can be quite plainly visible in the comprehensive charts. Extremes are always easier to identify in relation to any life circumstance or event.
Handwriting analysis can’t assess sexual orientation 100% accurately either, but combining it with comprehensive astrology and numerology can offer surprising insight regarding sexuality.

Much has been said about 2012 being a monumental year of cosmic proportions.
Universal shifts of various magnitudes have been occurring since the beginning of time. More on universal shifts is included in the first 5 paragraphs of this blog post: http://scottpetullo.com/blog/2011/04/numerology-and-11-11-11-nothing-exceptional-about-the-date/
Nothing extraordinary happened on 11-11-2011, and 2012 won’t include any “dramatic universal spiritual shifts” either. Please see information about 2012 and the Mayan Calendar here: http://scottpetullo.com/blog/2010/03/2012-and-the-mayan-calendar-7-myths/
2012 will, however, include more talk of “end times,” “the shift,” and other hype.
These 5 red flags, sample excerpts (or similar enough) of the 2012 hysteria movement, display the mythological nature (and creepily socialistic underpinnings) of it all:
- “Powerful, extraordinary astrological occurrences take place in 2012 and they will bring us all closer together as one.”
(false on both counts)
- “Your cosmic awareness is now expanding in over-drive and you are destined to join the movement to help it come about.”
(false, and false)
- “The time has come for social justice.”
(a purely politically correct, misleading, anti-American, socialist, wealth-distribution political agenda—such mandates are often a driving force behind movements like “shift 2012,” ensnaring the naïve and aggrieved)
- “The time has come for economic justice for the victims of man-made global warming.”
(another economically destructive, socialist wealth-distribution scheme)
- “The global shift is speeding up, we must abandon unsustainable methods and heal the people and the planet, and everyone on Earth must assist with this breakthrough in playing your unique role to make the shift successful so that we can manifest our cosmic destinies.”
(poetic prose drones on, and then they expect you to buy an expensive e-course and, or seminar)
You manifest your fate by following your heart and working toward your aspirations, not by lining the pockets of the 2012 hype crowd, or worse, helping to advance destructive political agendas.
By all means, feel free to step into an exciting future, but just make sure to avoid wasting time on “2012 shift” or other propaganda.

In response to these two blog posts about 11-11-11,
http://scottpetullo.com/blog/2011/09/11-11-11-the-essence-of-insignificance/
http://scottpetullo.com/blog/2011/04/numerology-and-11-11-11-nothing-exceptional-about-the-date/
I received this feedback:
“Go to Google and look up newsworthy events that happened on the 11th of the month and you will find some pretty significant events.”
It’s unclear whether or not the person behind this anonymous e-mail was urging me to consider 11-11-11 as exceptional, but it sounds like it.
Fair enough. Let’s also look up events that happened on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th, and 31st—all the other days of the month besides the 11th—and you’ll find, surprise, that the 11th doesn’t include any more significant events throughout history that any other day of the month.
See for yourself. This site lists important events throughout history. Compare events on the 11th to any other date and you’ll find that the 11th of the month (of any month), by itself, isn’t very remarkable: http://www.historyorb.com/day/january/1
Common question: “What about 9-11!?” One data-point isn’t a trend. Furthermore, extracting dozens of 11s (“11 crew members,” etc.) from 1000s of possibilities is mere selective attention (and amateurish).
As I point out in the linked blog posts above, the day, month, and year alone are only a fraction of the hundreds of factors in comprehensive numerology charting. Any other date could very well have many more times the amount of 11 energy than 11-11-2011. Also, 2011 is 4 (2+0+1+1=4), not 11. So 11-11-11 is really 11-11-4. The 11 of 2011 is only a minor sub-factor.
11-11-2011 is one of the most overstated and irrelevant dates ever.
The top 10 11-11-11 myths:
- Those who don’t “quantum leap” into their new selves on or before 11-11-2011 will suffer.
- Individualities will be foregone for global unity and there will be great catastrophes in the process.
- Possessions will no longer be important, and law enforcement and military will cease to exist.
- There has never been a more perfect time to pull back the veil that separates us from universal consciousness, but it will be painful.
- 11-11-2011 (and 2012) concludes a 15 billion+ year evolutionary process.
- We are moving at light speed toward unity consciousness, from duality consciousness.
- After 11-11-11 an era of infinite peace and prosperity will usher in.
- 11-11-2011 is the most important harmonic gateway thus far.
- Stepping through the gateway will activate your higher purpose.
- You will be able to elevate your vibration and integrate your higher-self.
Notice something unique about most of these assertions? They are intentionally incomprehensible and immeasurable—there is a total lack of tangible meaning. This is the type of language that ensnares the uninformed and the I-would-never-consider-if-it’s-total-nonsense-I-just-like-how-it-sounds-and-feels crowd.
Unfortunately, hype and sensationalism drive the majority of the New Age market; it’s not spirituality, it’s escapism.
Ignore the propaganda and fear and go out and enjoy yourself on 11-11-2011.

Numbers represent quantities in everyday life, yet they also symbolize qualities.
The number 16 is one of the modern numerology “Karmic Debt” numbers: 13, 14, 16, and 19. Empirical research shows that these numbers inherently represent a greater amount of challenge than most other numbers.
Why does person A endure much more unavoidable personal adversity throughout his life than person B? You reap what you sow—everything you say, do, think, and intend–and most of that doesn’t come back to you until future lifetimes. Number mysticism, like astrology and other esoteric sciences are based on the concepts of reincarnation and karma. Comprehensive charting reflects personal karma.
While no single number by itself completely reflects specific life circumstances and events, the collective, patterned energy of hundreds of factors does. The occurrence of multiples of the number 16 in a person’s comprehensive numerology charts typically signifies conditions as outlined in the following two instances:
- A pattern of ruthless pride and, or vicious arrogance. A fitting example is a prior or bishop in the Middle Ages underhandedly outmaneuvering opponents, ruining the lives of others for his own career advancement and power. Thus, his soul chooses, in future lives, to directly endure the maliciousness he generated: cheating; misapplication of authority, tearing apart families; accusing others of crimes (e.g., witchcraft) to gain politically; high status not earned but taken in the past, so now he must struggle open-endedly while his peers move up the ladder. Personal injustice is a recurring theme in his life today.
- Another appropriate example is someone who abused her romantic power in past lives: emotionally betraying others; breaking promises; abandoning loved ones; cheating on a spouse or romantic partner. Today, she now must endure what she inflicted on others, and it frequently manifests as a series of broken relationships, including having to deal with recurring abandonment.
Other energies that relate to the number 16 include repression, excessive solitude, over-analysis, depression, being drawn to clandestine activities, conspiracies, friends moving away or otherwise unexpectedly leaving your life, excessive pride, collapse of ego-self ideals, and extreme secrecy.
Note: The number 16 must show up throughout the natal and timing charts to have a considerable representative impact. Simply having the number 16 (or any other number) show up in one or a few places in your comprehensive charts, such as the Day of Birth, or sum of Month and Day of Birth isn’t enough (although it can be a clue).
The uncommon rewards of 16 can sometimes include sudden, unexpected gains, and a very positive upward correction in one’s life direction, as well as significant power. However, material rewards aren’t regularly linked to the number 16; instead, financial loss is all too common.
The usual rewards involving 16 are simple: spiritual awareness and wisdom. After hitting rock bottom, having to endure humbling experiences such as a fall from grace, the ego-self is deflated and a stronger connection to the authentic self remains. There is nothing left to lose and in their solitude they can’t help but be awakened to some of life’s secrets. Consequently, those with an over-abundance of the number 16 in their comprehensive charts have a higher than average likelihood of becoming mystics. Spiritual power is common, with a nagging distant memory of the consequences of the misapplication of it (i.e., black magic), compelling them to maintain honorable conduct.
It’s absolutely viable to know the approximate times an individual will encounter their most important life circumstances and events through comprehensive astrology and numerology. The knowledge allows you to plan and prepare, reducing your risk.

Question:
“Please help me. All over the world 13 is considered to be an unlucky number. According to numerology 13=1+3=4. Therefore, 4=13=22. I want to know is number 4 also unlucky like number 13. I have stopped doing important works on date 4. Also i dont do anything 4 times, as i consider it to be like number 13. Please help me on this as my day to day activities are getting affected.”
Answer:
The short answer is that any number can be unlucky in excess. No single number is lethal by itself, as one single factor of hundreds in the comprehensive numerology charts. I recommend that you avoid viewing the number 13 or 4 as patently unlucky, at least any more than any other number.
Although 13 and 22 share the same root number (4), there are many differences.
The number 4 is considered the number of death in many Asian cultures (8 and 9 are viewed as “lucky” in some of those same cultures). However, 4 has many positive qualities and its bad image isn’t justified, in my view. Every number has three sides: balanced energy, over-balanced energy, and under-balanced energy.
4 relates to structure, stable finances, organization, efficiency, and productivity, just to name a few. An emphasis on the number 4 in your collective timing can be a very positive thing, especially if you seek stability.
In its over-balanced or under-balanced form, for example, it can symbolize health challenges, rigidity, excessive analysis, lack of humor and enjoyment, repressed emotions, dishonesty, neglect, impracticality, and neurosis.
In spite of the negative features related to the number 4 listed above, you shouldn’t fear it. Timing is symbolically strongest in a collective sense (involving dozens of indicators), never with a single indicator.
13 is commonly considered to be unlucky, but I believe that is more superstition than truth. A “Karmic Debt Number,” 13, in an over-balanced and under-balanced sense, relates to restriction, degeneration, health concerns, triviality, immaturity, emotional problems, over-spending, and betting the farm at the track, so to speak (and losing). Note: simply having the number 13 (or any other number) show up in one or a few places in your comprehensive charts, such as the Day of Birth, or sum of Month and Day of Birth, in itself, is too insignificant—it must show up throughout the natal charts (and timing charts) to have a considerable representative impact.
On the balanced side, 13 can relate to tremendous drive, power, rebirth, endurance, levelheadedness, prudence, and fantastic success. More about the number 13 here: http://www.holisticmakeover.com/Jan21-2005.htm
The number 22 is more spiritual in the sense that it is linked firmly to the other side and signifies big plans and undertakings. Practical, yet dynamic and rare vision relates to the number 22–enlightened awareness manifesting extraordinary things. The Great Pyramid is perfectly symbolic of the number 22. On the over-balanced and under-balanced side, 22 is linked to psychosis and (often very successful) organized crime.
Our Numerology Decoder Software correctly calculates Karmic Debt Numbers (such as 13 and 16) and Master Numbers (such as 11 and 22). “First meeting chart” involves the assessment of the basic horary astrology chart of the time when you first make a new acquaintance.
While I do find value in this particular astrological approach, although comprehensive instead of basic, my view is that much more must be taken into account, such as these concerns:
- Thoroughly consider each person’s comprehensive natal configurations involving ancient astrology and numerology, and modern astrology and numerology. These charts form the foundation of personal fate—rewards, challenges, limits, trials, lessons, and much more.
- Thoroughly consider each person’s comprehensive timing configurations involving ancient astrology and numerology, and modern astrology and numerology. If the specific circumstance (rewarding or challenging) is symbolized in the natal charts and also harmonizes with the timing charts, it’s assured, though the timing by itself doesn’t promise enough.
- A thorough appraisal of subconscious character is recommended. My opinion is that handwriting analysis is one of the most objective and accurate forms of personality assessment–especially subconscious personality, the authentic self. Unfortunately, it’s all too common to have agreeable compatibility throughout the natal and timing charts, but then have one or both people possess unique personality challenges that seriously thwart the success of the union.
- It’s very possible for a connection between two people to be based primarily on timing, such as shared negative or positive collective timing, instead of (more lasting) natal configurations. When the timing changes, the bond fades.
Although the first meeting comprehensive charts are a distant second to the above matters, it’s still recommended to methodically weigh the related strengths and afflictions. Take note of the universal timing surrounding the first meeting as it relates to each person’s comprehensive natal and timing charts. Following the advice above, you’ll gain tremendous insight about yourself and others, and you’ll reduce your risk substantially.

Ready or not, here comes November 11, 2011.
What’s that, you say? You haven’t prepared for it? Good, then you haven’t wasted any thought-energy on the meaninglessness of 11-11-2011.
Question:
“I keep seeing three-number sequences. For instance, while watching a video about the 11:11 phenomenon on Youtube on my iPod, something which I dismissed as nonsensical, the video crashed and the app quit back to the home screen. I looked at the time, and it was 01:11. I am quite scared now; I do not understand this. What is the meaning of it?”
Answer:
There’s no reason to be afraid. While there is a Full Moon on 11-10-2011, along with a number of ordinary universal afflictions during that month, you have every reason to feel confident about completely dismissing the notion of 11-11-2011 being of any importance whatsoever, at least beyond that of any other date. More information here to address your concern: http://scottpetullo.com/blog/2011/04/numerology-and-11-11-11-nothing-exceptional-about-the-date/
Escapism sells, and it’s too often mistaken for spirituality. The routine hyping of non-events is unfortunate because it misleads and just makes it more difficult for authentic practitioners, sullying the image of all that is genuinely mystical.
11-11-2011 isn’t 11-11-11, it’s 11-11-4. The sub-factor of 11 in 2011 holds minimal symbolic impact compared to the root number (4, in this case).
Nobody seemed to notice 11-11-1901, 11-11-1910, or 11-11-2009, and they may not notice 11-11-2018 either (all four dates are legitimate 11-11-11s). Besides, considering the plethora of indicators derived from the month, day, and year, it’s entirely possible for dates without the number 11 as a month, day, or year to hold more 11 energy than dates with an 11 month, day and, or year.
Next, the “2012 phenomenon,” which is as inconsequential as 11-11-2011: http://scottpetullo.com/blog/2010/03/2012-and-the-mayan-calendar-7-myths/
