Venus retrograde occurs soon. It’s not a seriously problematic astrological affliction, but one to pay attention to, especially regarding your love life.
Besides love life, the planet Venus also rules the following: women; gay men; apparel; the building trades, including design and home building; designers of all types; the arts, including dance and music; jewelry and jewelers; glamour; beauty; pleasure; indulgence; bars and drinking; games and gambling; playboys and playgirls; ladies of the evening; romantic commitments.
How Venus retrograde symbolically affects you depends on the patterns in your unique comprehensive natal and timing charts, though four basic love-life related occurrences seem to happen more frequently during the retro period:
- Serious reassessment of your current romantic commitment is common. For some, a separation seems natural. For others, a deepening or transformation of the bond occurs.
- Those who are single and connect with a new love interest need to be careful; ill-advised love life decisions involving sudden romantic involvements are routine. Post retrograde, the bond often seems worse, for justifiable reasons.
- Avoid the standard, pointless practice of dwelling on “the one that got away.”
- Re-connecting with former lovers is a familiar theme. Just remember the reasons why it ended; if serious problems existed, they will be painfully obvious again soon enough.
Avoid hasty love life decisions during Venus retrograde because your perspective in love life matters isn’t sound during this time.
