Rare Supermoon and Full Moon 11-14-2016

A rare supermoon and Full Moon, exact by degree, occurs on 11-14-2016 at 5:52 a.m. PST, 22 degrees 37 minutes Taurus.

The Moon enters the sign of Taurus 11-12-2016 at 6:23 p.m. PST, after a lengthy Moon Void of Course beginning at 7:20 p.m. PST 11-11-2016.

Note: I consider the last Ptolemaic aspect before this Moon Void of Course to be Moon trine Saturn, skipping Moon conjunct Uranus, making the Moon Void of course longer. I prefer this ancient method instead of the modern approach.

The Moon remains in the sign of Taurus, in which it is exalted, until it enters the sign of Gemini 11-14-2016 at 5:23 p.m. PST. A heavenly body in an exalted state, a sign of exceptional health, represents, in part, rewards instead of challenges.

Although the Full Moon is exact by degree on 11-14-2016 early morning PST, the Full Moon phase lasts the entire span of its transit through the sign of Taurus.

This supermoon is rare because it’s the closest the Full Moon has been to Earth since 1948. The next closest is in the year 2034.

A supermoon event is largely superficial in terms of astrological significance. It’s merely a Full Moon occurring when the Moon’s orbit is closest to Earth, so the Moon simply looks bigger.
